“A Cycling Club For All”

That is our goal here at Fi’Kir Cycling Club. We want to make a place for all people, regardless of race, gender, and sexuality, to be able to enjoy the sport of cycling.

Cycling today is a sport that deeply lacks diversity. Whether it is at the Tour de France, or your local group-ride, you can see the people who aren’t prevalent in the sport. There is a lack of Black, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, and LGBTQ+ people who participate in cycling. Our co-founders Dawit Mengistu, Will McElgunn, and Henry Gong, 3 relatively newer cyclists, recognized the lack of diversity, and immediately went to work creating a club that will help grow diversity in this sport. Whether you are a seasoned rider or someone who is brand new to biking, you are welcomed and appreciated at Fi’Kir Cycling Club!
